Privacy Notice (Hong Kong)

This Privacy Notice supplements our main Privacy Policy and explains how MADÉ (French MAD Limited) collects and handles your personal data under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) of Hong Kong.

What we collect

When you place an order, create an account, or join our mailing list, we collect your name, email, phone number, order and collection details, and payment information (processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers). Providing this information is voluntary, but without it we cannot process or hand over your order.

How we use it

To process and fulfil your click & collect orders; to contact you about your order; to handle refunds and enquiries; to meet legal and accounting obligations; and, with your consent, to send you marketing.

Who we share it with

Our payment processor and acquiring bank; our e-commerce platform (Shopify); messaging and service providers acting on our behalf; and authorities where required by law. We never sell your personal data.

Direct marketing

We will only use your name and contact details to send you marketing (news, offers, new flavours) if you have opted in. You can withdraw your consent at any time, free of charge, by clicking “unsubscribe” in any email or by emailing hello@made-frenchmadeleines.com — we will stop immediately.

Transfer outside Hong Kong

Some providers (such as Shopify) process data on servers outside Hong Kong. We take reasonable steps to keep your data secure and to use it only for the purposes above.

Retention

We keep your data only as long as needed for these purposes and to meet legal requirements.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies to operate the store, remember your cart, and (with consent) measure traffic. You can manage cookies in your browser settings.
